“What Pool & Hot Tub’ magazine and the “whatpoolandhottubmag.co.uk”, website (referred to in this policy as “we”, “us” or “our”) are trading names of Aqua Publishing Ltd – the data collector for this website.
Aqua Publishing Ltd‘s Registered Company Number is: 08237875 and our Registered Office is: 73 Langmore Court, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 8BZ.

The information we collect and how we use it

This section tells you what personal data we may collect from you and how we use it when you use our services:

Direct contact

We use return email addresses to answer any emails we may receive. Such email addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Emailers

We offer a free electronic emailer (newsletter) to users. We gather the email addresses of users who subscribe to this service and opt-in. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the instructions provided in every emailer sent.

Receive free magazine

When a visitor requests a free of charge copy of What Pool & Hot Tub magazine from our website, we collect personal data, including: name, postal address, telephone number and email address so that we may complete your request.

At the point of submission, this information is then emailed to us. In addition, to receive a free copy, the visitor agrees that the same personal data is passed on (along with any other data supplied) to carefully selected and relevant companies based on the information provided during the request

These companies consist of manufacturers, distributors and retailers who supply wet leisure products that the visitor has expressed an interest in. They may then offer their products and services based on the information which has been passed to them. If you would like details of the companies we provide the information to, please email: info@whatpoolandhottubmag.co.uk

Visitor tracking

We track visitor traffic on our website, however we do not cross reference this information with data about individual users.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We may also break down overall usage statistics according to a user’s IP address, domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this data from information contained in every visitor’s browser.

Cookies

We may place a text file called a “cookie” in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain any personal information although it will enable us to collect information about your viewing habits when you visit our website. Some cookies only exist whilst visitors are online, but "persistent" cookies – which are not session-based – remain on the visitor’s computer, so that they can be recognised as a previous visitor when they next visit our website

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser settings. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site.

Sharing your personal data

We may share your data with third parties:
(1) to prepare or send any communications to you, or to assist us in connection with any of our administrative or business functions

(2) if we are asked to do by any legal or regulatory authority, or if we believe that it would be proper to do so in connection with any legal or regulatory matter

Unless they are already legally bound to keep your personal data confidential, we shall enter into agreements with anyone to whom we disclose your personal data, obliging them to keep your personal data confidential.

Security your personal data

We will protect the data that you provide to us via appropriate security measures and controls. No personal data which we collect is held online. Any personal data which we process is done so by Aqua Publishing staff located in the UK and we have ensured that appropriate protections are in place to make sure your personal data remains sufficiently protected and is treated in line with relevant Data Protection laws.

Where personal data is provided to a third party, it is done so at the same time as we receive the data and we will ensure that they have sufficient security measures and controls in place too. If you would like details of the companies we provide the information to, please email: info@whatpoolandhottubmag.co.uk

Amendments and erasure

At your request we shall make any amendments that you stipulate to the personal data that you have supplied to us. If you require it, we shall also remove your name and personal data from any database or system where it is held.

You have the right to have your data ‘erased’ where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected or processed. The same applies if data was passed on to any third parties as the result of requesting a free magazine. If you would like details of the companies we provide the information to, please email: info@whatpoolandhottubmag.co.uk

Please note that each amendment or erasure request will be reviewed on a case-by-case and where we have a lawful reason to retain the personal data, it may refused.
